HHE is always looking for talented professionals interested in the following full-time positions:

Technician.

This position supports the project surveying staff and consists of approximately 60% office work; 40% in the field. Surveying experience necessary. Candidate should have a basic knowledge of surveying principles and the ability to use/learn surveying software. Must be willing to work in harsh field conditions and to complete work with little to no supervision. Valid driver’s license required.

Land Surveyor

Directed by the senior staff, this individual will plan and direct surveying in the field and office. A two-year related degree and two years of supervised experience required. Professional licensure required or ability to obtain license. Thorough knowledge of surveying principles and ability to operate robotics total stations, and GPS desired. Salary commensurate with experience and licensure.


Engineering Technician

Responsible for performing design and/or drafting layout of projects, on-site inspection of projects and maintaining project records, this position reports to the engineering staff. High school diploma/GED required, but experience or related degree a real plus. Experience with AutoCAD software desired. Will be assigned to multiple projects and must enjoy the challenge of juggling priorities and working within a deadline.

Seeking a degreed Civil Engineer with professional licensure or ability to obtain licensure.

Will be involved in the design of a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects which could involve water, wastewater, drainage, small structures, roads, or related facilities. Experience in a consulting engineering environment a definite plus. Ability to effectively communicate and experience supervising staff desired. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software and MS Project also desired.

Medical Coverage & Premiums
  • Hall & Hall pays 95 percent of the single employee premium. Employee only pays for spouses and dependants.
  • Premiums for covered spouses and dependents are automatically deducted on a pre-tax basis, unless the employee requests otherwise.
  • Coverage begins the first day of the month following or coinciding with date of hire.
  • Listing of Preferred Providers for maximum medical coverage.
  • Participants in the plan receive 80% medical coverage if a preferred provider is utilized, 60% coverage if a non-preferred provider is utilized.
  • $25 copay primary care physician; $1000 individuall deductible and $2000 family deductible.
Prescription Drug Program
  • Generic drug incentive through lower co-pay ($10 for generic/$30 for preferred brand name/$45 for non-preferred brand name).
401(k) Plan participation
  • Optional investment/retirement plan
  • Between 0-3%: Employer 3% match on employee 3%.
  • Between 3-5%: Employer 1% match on employee 2%.
Eight Paid Holidays
  • New Year's Day (January 1)
  • Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day (July 4)
  • Labor Day (first Monday in September)
  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
  • The day after Thanksgiving (fourth Friday in November)
  • Christmas Day (December 25)
  • Personal Day (any eight-hour-day, at the employee's discretion)

The maximum number of hours which may be "carried forward" from one year to the next is as follows: 48 hours earned in the first 12 months of employment; 144 hours during years 1-4 of employment; 192 hours during years 5 and above.

Short-Term Disability (STD)
  • Pays 60% of an employee's weekly earnings (to a maximum of $400 per week) for a maximum of 26 weeks.
  • Elimination period is after the 8th day of illness and 1st day of an accident.
Voluntary Long-Term Disability (VLTD)
  • Pays 60 percent of an employee's salary (to a maximum of $4,000 per month) for up to two years.
  • Elimination period is 180 days.
Flexible Spending Account (Section 125)
  • Medical Reimbursement Plan allows employees to pay annual medical deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, and other non-covered medical, dental or vision expenses with pre-tax dollars.
  • Dependent Care Plan allows employees to pay child and elder care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
  • Premium Only Plan automatically takes dependent medical premiums on a pre-tax basis. A waiver form must be completed and returned to Human Resources to have dependent medical premiums deducted after taxes.
  • Per IRS regulatory code, flexible spending is a use-it-or-lose-it program.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Confidential counseling assessment and referral service.
  • Available 24-hours a day, seven days a week by calling the toll-free number.
  • Benefit is available to the employee and the employee's dependents.
  • Some of the assistance provided includes: legal advice, alcohol/drug abuse, family/relationship concerns, occupational adjustments, personal/emotional concerns, literacy, etc.
Life Insurance
  • Hall & Hall pays 100% premium for a $10,000 life insurance policy.
Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Voluntary supplemental life insurance available for employees, employee spouses and employee dependents.
Voluntary Life Insurance/Long Term Disability/Dental/Vision
Voluntary insurance available for employees, employee spouses and employee dependents to cover:
  • LIFE & ADD: $25,000 LIFE + $75,000 ADD (Employee only)
  • LONG TERM DISABILITY: Pays a maximum of $1,000 per month and elimination period is 90 days. (Employee only)
  • DENTAL: $0 deductible on two check-ups per year and a maximum out of pocket per year of $750. 2nd and 3rd year will pay additional charges.
  • VISION: $10 co-pay on annual exams.
Education Assistance
  • Work-related college and university course(s) will be reimbursed at 100% for tuition fees not to exceed $2,000 per calendar year.
  • Approved in advance and demonstrates the ability to progress in the company.
  • Time must be spent outside scheduled work hours.
  • Must receive a grade of "C" or better at completion of course.
Professional Registration
  • Employees are reimbursed for professional license and registration fees including the testing fees (following passing test score)
College Savings Program (Section 529)
  • Savings program designed to offer employees a range of investment opportunities to save for higher education.
Flex time/working hours
  • Allow flexible scheduling of hours with supervisor approval.
Telecommuting
  • Available on a case-by-case basis.
  • Allows an employee to work from an off-site location via Internet, FAX and/or telephone.
