Hall & Hall Engineers (HHE) completed the design of an eight-court tennis facility on the College Community School District campus. The site proved a challenge as it presented six feet of grade transition across the site. HHE was tasked to balance the elements of earthwork costs, accessibility, and providing maintainable slopes while providing stormwater management when completing the design.
HHE gained valuable experience in asphalt court surfacing, sub-drainage system, fencing, net post anchoring, surface slope/direction, and concrete edge restraint that is required to improve the playability of the courts and longevity of the playing surface.
• 8 Tennis Courts
• Lighting of 4 courts
• Full accessibility on a moderate sloping site
• ‘Soft-Hand’ grading approach to blend with the surrounding area
