The Cedar Rapids Fun Station is a 52,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art family entertainment destination that opened in 2025 in south Cedar Rapids. Featuring more than 22 attractions including obstacle courses, zip lines, climbing walls, laser tag, and glow mini golf; the Fun Station delivers a dynamic, all-ages experience designed to entertain and engage the community.
Hall & Hall Engineers, Inc. (HHE) supported the project through comprehensive site services including surveying, planning, civil design, and construction assistance. A key feature of the site is an existing lake that has served a regional stormwater management function since before 2005. As part of the development, the lake was creatively reimagined to also function as a bumper boat attraction and a visual amenity for the adjacent patio space.
Through thoughtful site planning and innovative design strategies, HHE preserved the lake in its existing footprint while successfully accommodating the large entertainment venue and associated parking within the constraints of the five-acre parcel. The result is a vibrant destination that balances recreation, functionality, and responsible site design.
